[ARCHIVED] Multiple Vandalism Arrest

In the evening and early morning hours of June 12-13, 2012, Officers from the Port Hueneme, Oxnard and Union Pacific Railroad Police conducted a joint surveillance operation regarding Felony Vandalism to railroad cars in the vicinity of Hueneme Road at Arcturus Road in Oxnard. The joint operation was formed because several thousand dollars’ worth of damage had occurred to the rail cars and their cargo on prior occasions.

Between the hours of 11 pm and 2 am, the operation captured and detained eight individuals. Six of these suspects were booked at Ventura County Jail for Conspiracy to Commit Felony Vandalism. Two suspects were detained and released from the Port Hueneme Police Station. Officers seized approximately 300 cans of spray paint, including customized tips. Also seized were paint rollers, photographs, backpacks, and other evidence.

Arrested were:
Antonio Montejano of Oxnard,
Kyle James Navarro of Ventura,
Francisco Antonio Marin of Oxnard,
Albert Reyes, No Record,
Jesus Michael Corella, No Record, and
John Bates, No Record.

The names of the two released suspects are being withheld, pending further investigation.
