COVID-19 UTILITY BILLING POLICIES ENDING JUNE 30, 2022

Due to the state lifting the mandated COVID-19 billing moratorium, the City of Port Hueneme will resume its normal billing procedures beginning July 1, 2022. This includes assessing late fees, door hanger fees, and shut offs due to non-payment. The City of Port Hueneme remains committed to providing support to our customers experiencing hardships. For any questions regarding your utility bill please call (805) 986-6524.

Start/stop service

To start new or cancel existing service, please contact the Utility Billing department at (805) 986-6524 during regular business hours. To set up a same-day request, please call before 12pm for guaranteed service.

Phone/Office Hours:

8am - 5pm Monday thru Thursday and alternating Fridays. Closed weekends, holidays and every other Friday.

-new - federal Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP)

The new federal Low Income Household Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP) will provide financial assistance to low-income Californians to help manage their residential water utility costs. Established by Congress in December 2020, this federally funded program will help low-income households pay down their outstanding water bills. California has been allocated $116 million in one-time funding to provide LIHWAP assistance. 

Eligible households may receive up to $2,000 in financial assistance to pay the past due amount plus current charges, fees, and taxes.
