  • Athletic shoes with flashing lights in the soles (manufactured before 1997)cleaners
  • Barometers, manometers, blood pressure, and vacuum gauges
  • Electric space heaters with mercury switches
  • Electrical switches and relays found in some chest freezers
  • Household cleaners
  • Mercury thermometers
  • Oil based paint
  • Old clothes irons with mercury switches
  • Older thermostats with mercury inside
  • Pesticides
  • Pilot light sensors containing mercury
  • Solvents
  • Thinners
