The Housing Authority does not have special funds available to
assist the homeless. Our office can refer you to agencies in the
County that provide emergency shelter and other forms of assistance.

18 months to 4 years. Recent
reductions

federal
funding may increase the waiting period considerably.

It is necessary for applicants to contact the Housing Authority to
report a change of address or phone number. Also, if you receive a
letter from the Housing Authority, you must respond by the date indicated
on the letter.

Yes, elderly and persons with disabilities are given preference and
will be housed before non elderly/disabled families.

Can I get a Voucher more quickly?
No. This situation does not give an applicant preference. The Housing
Authority assists applicants according to date and time of application.
