| Business License Information Business license fees are based on gross receipts for in-town, retail businesses such as restaurants, clothing stores, grocery stores, travel agencies, drugstores, etc… On the business license application, applicants must state their estimated gross receipts from the opening date of their business through June 30 of the current fiscal year. The MINIMUM FEE for the first year of a new business is $100.00, which can be prorated on a quarterly basis. RESOURCES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES The City has developed a brochure for small businesses with information about community organizations that provide assistance in various forms. There are also tips on starting a business, including things you should check first with the City. Forms The fillable MS Word form for the Business Application is provided below in a format that enables you to complete it on your computer. You will NOT be able to apply for a business license via e-mail attachment, this is just for convenience. However, this fillable form will enable you to fill out the form, save it and print it. Using MS Word, you must print the form and mail it as indicated in the form. For all other forms, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to print and then manually fill out the forms.
