City Council Regular Meetings are normally held the first and third Mondays of the month, unless there is a holiday, then they are on Tuesday. The next meetings are May 1 and May 15 at 6:30 p.m.  Visit our website to view agenda packets, meeting dates, and recordings.

Cannabis Ordinances Update

The City of Port Hueneme is in the process of drafting ordinances related to medical marijuana dispensaries, manufacturing, cultivation and delivery. The latest drafted documents are available on our website. To view recorded meetings involving discussion on this topic go to Agenda Center.

City Council has not approved any action on this item. It is anticipated to be brought back for first reading and a public hearing in May .

2017 JUNIOR LIFEGUARD PROGRAM

Ocean rescue, first aid, and surfing are just some of the activities taught in the Junior Lifeguard Program. This four-week session is designed for boys and girls, ages 8 to 16, to become familiar with ocean environments. Lifesaving skills, physical training and ocean ecology is emphasized. Pickleball Lessons at Moranda Park

Pickleball, one of the fastest growing games in the USA, is now being played at Moranda Park. Easy to learn , fast moving a fun for all ages. Free introductory lesson. Private skill development lessons also available.

Household Hazardous Waste Roundup

Collection center event for proper disposal of paint, batteries, solvents, glue, nail polish, motor oil and filters properly. These items are not to be disposed of in regular trash pick-up, on the ground, or in the storm drain. 

Free upcoming collection events on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 for Oxnard and Port Hueneme residents only. See flyer for more details.

Other City Information

The City is closed every other Friday and on holidays. Offices will be closed on the following dates: May 5, May 19, and May 29. Please refer to the website calendar for closure dates and community events. 

The Community Development counter is closed daily from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
