Dennis O’Leary will be sharing his book "Alba Walking in the Shadows" which is based on a local murder case that occurred in 2016.
Rosalba Cruz Moran, 20 years old in 2012, was accused of leaving her newborn boy for dead in a Nyeland Acres strawberry field. She testified that she was afraid of getting kicked of her family’s Oxnard home if they found out she had given birth.
After a jury judged her guilty of homicide in the first degree, Rosalba was sentenced to 25 years to life.
