The Port Hueneme Historical Society Museum Distinguished Speaker Series- “A Look Back at Water Resources in Ventura County”

Saturday, March 10, 2018

Whether you're a farmer, rancher, business owner, or simply a resident of Ventura County, the single biggest issue facing your future is the availability of clean, adequate, and affordable water. The Museum has invited Senior Hydrologist Murray McEachron, who has been with United Water Conservation District since 1998, to answer your questions about this very important subject. Since 1927, United Water Conservation District has been conserving groundwater resources utilized by the cities of Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura, Santa Paula, and Fillmore. United Water continues to boost water supplies through groundwater replenishment as well as construction and operation of water supply and delivery systems to cities, mutual water districts, numerous farms and individual pumpers. In addition to enhancing Santa Clara River water resources, United Water works to protect the river's natural features as well.
